Common questions

Why does the app ask for permission to send email?

ApplyFirst sends your application from your own Gmail account. It only asks for the permission to send email. It never reads, lists or changes anything in your inbox.

Where is my email after I send it?

Open Gmail and look in Sent. Gmail confirming a send does not confirm that the employer received or read it.

The status says "uncertain". What now?

Check your Gmail Sent folder before sending again, so you do not send the same application twice.

How do I delete my data?

In the app, open Profile → Settings → Your data. You can remove the saved CV, clear your history, or delete everything and sign out. Everything the app saves is on your phone, so deleting the app also removes it.

How do I disconnect my Google account?

Sign out in Settings, then remove ApplyFirst at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

How do I change the language?

Open Profile → Settings → Preferences → Language and choose System, English or Arabic.

Is the AI feature required?

No. It is optional. When you use it, the text you chose to improve and some of your profile details are sent to OpenAI. Your CV file is never sent. See the privacy policy.
